Iva Orr Franks, 81, a resident of Cleveland, passed away surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at her home.

She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church.

She enjoyed quilting, embroidery work and traveling. She was retired from Central Service after many years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Isaac J. Freeman and Myrtle Freeman; first husband, Roy L. Orr; brothers: Ira Freeman, J.D. Freeman, Roy Lee Freeman and Glean Freeman; and sisters: Lucille Saunders and Mary Barnes.

She is survived by her husband, R.M. Franks; children: Vivian Orr Rapier and husband, Steve, Charles Orr and wife, Evonne, David A. Orr, and Cullas E. Orr and wife, Angela, all of Cleveland; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; stepchildren: Judy Wilkinson, Linda Alford, Betty Womble, Nita Hixson, Patricia Ogles, and Marjorie Singleton; sister, Chloey Floyd of Benton; 11 stepgrandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastors A.C. Cooper and Richard McKeehan officiating.

Interment was at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery concluding with a white dove release ceremony.
