William K. “Bill” Robinson, 75, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, in a local hospital.
He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school for 25 years.
He coached and played softball and basketball and loved all sports. He loved jokes, but he especially loved his grandkids.
He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 43 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl Robinson and Gladys Robinson Harris.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Raylene Robinson; children: Jeff Robinson, Ken Robinson and wife, Mitzi, and Stephanie West and husband, Alex, all of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren: Meredith, Jared and Kelsey Robinson, Ashley Baker and husband, Lee, Holly Robinson, David Robinson, and Carlye, Elijah, Michaela, Micah and Ezekiel West; one great-grandson, Caleb Baker; and sister, Joyce Hamilton of Sweetwater.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at Westwood Baptist Church with Jim Caywood and Pastor Steve Smartt officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
