He was the son of the late Jim DeLay and Esteleene Delay Woods.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Faye DeLay of Cleveland; sons, Mike DeLay and Ronnie DeLay, both of Cleveland; daughters, Joy DeLay, Gayla Guy and Tammy Couch, all of Cleveland; 9 grandchildren; 5 great- grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
Funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Revs. Buck Beavers and Mike DeLay officiating. Interment will be held at 1:30 on Tuesday at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
