Hill has previously served as the minister of worship at such highly regarded churches as the Metro Church in Birmingham, Ala., Gardendale’s First Baptist Church in Gardendale, Ala., and the Higher Ground Baptist Church in Kingsport.
“Bruce has a unique gift and passion to lead people to not just sing songs but to experience the very presence and glory of God in worship. He is a humble man who walks with God and understands how to equip others to do the same,” said the Rev. Steve Smartt, senior pastor of Westwood Baptist.
His experience in leading worship includes the Alabama Baptist Pastor’s Conference, the Tennessee Baptist Convention, the Ohio Baptist Evangelism Conference, the Bailey Smith Real Evangelism Conference, and crusades with the late E.V. Hill and Rick Gage.
He is the author of the book, “Rebuilding the Temple of Praise,” and has led numerous conferences teaching this book on worship leadership.
He holds an associate of science in music from Gadsden State Community College, a bachelor of music in music education from Samford University, a master of music in ministry from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his doctorate of ministry in worship at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga.
He and his wife, Teri, have two children, Kaley and Brad.
