At the October meeting of Xi Delta Phi, the sisters gathered together for a bewitching evening of fun and fellowship. The meeting was held at the home of the recording secretary, Sherry Thorp, and members enjoyed a wonderful pot-luck dinner.

Everyone showed up in costumes to be judged. Judi Brooks won a Hobby Lobby gift card for her authentic Geisha costume. President Margie White presided over the meeting dressed as a witch complete with a cackling broom that roamed around the room.

During the meeting, members voted to make a donation to the Bradley County Disaster Relief Fund to help with the rebuilding efforts for the April 27 storm victims. This is just one of the community projects XI Delta Phi has participated in.

As the monthly social, sisters and their spouses attended the OctoberFest event in Chattanooga. A great time was had by all those attending.

The sisters are continuing to observe this year’s theme of “Building Our Future on Traditions.”

Interested women are invited to call Jane Wooten at 423-790-4262 for information on joining Beta Sigma Phi/Xi Delta Phi and making the commitment to take the time to meet new women and make new friendship connections as they celebrate 80 years of “Life, Learning and Friendship.”
