She was born on Jan. 22, 1941, to the late Edgar and Pearl Casteel. She was married to the late Arlee Fain on Nov. 19, 1960. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Francis Bennett and Doris Casteel.
She has been a longtime member of Rock Creek Baptist Church in Benton, where she enjoyed attending services and singing in the choir.
She was a lifelong homemaker who genuinely enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother, taking pride in caring for her family and home. She was also an excellent seamstress, always making beautiful dresses for her granddaughter and making beautiful quilts.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Fain Ingram and her husband, Benjamin, of Old Fort; her granddaughter, Ashlee Ingram of Old Fort; her twin sister, Lena Mae Casteel; brothers: William Casteel and James Casteel; sisters: Georgia Casteel, Edna Sue Womac and Margaret Holt; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Jackie Martin, Terry Webb and Bill Sneed officiating.
Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery in Englewood with Jerry Pankey, Curtis Clark, Randall Tatum, Aaron Womac, Bill Fain and Carl Fain serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
