LITERARY WEEKEND IN ETOWAH will be held Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, the same weekend as the Etowah Arts and Crafts Fall Festival. A stage performance will be given on Sept. 30. Family Story time at the library continues on Saturdays at 2 p.m., with fun for the whole family. The Teddy Bear Picnic will be held Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. until noon at the library. Children ages 4 to 7 are invited to attend this free picnic. Lots of fun activities are planned such as story time, crafts and refreshments. Come join us for a “beary” good time.

The Museum Center at Five Points will sponsor a van trip to New Echota, the historic capital of the Cherokee in Calhoun, Ga., on Oct. 15. The cost of the trip is $40 for Museum Center members and $45 for non-members. Reservations and pre-payment are required by Oct. 11. CALICO SQUARES dance class will hold open enrollment Sept. 27 from 7 to 8 p.m. for square dance classes in the second-floor Community Room at Garden Plaza. No experience is necessary.
