CHATTANOOGA — The Tennessee Christian Preparatory School Hawks went to Boyd-Buchanan for their second game of the season and rode home with their second victory of the season after defeating the Buccaneers of Boyd-Buchanan 30-26 Thursday.

The Hawks’ Colton Duncan recovered a Boyd fumble on the first play of the game and returned it for a Hawks’ touchdown. Chris Reynolds followed up with 63-yard scamper with Duncan capping it off with the 2-point conversion.

Holding on to a 22-20 lead, TCPS came alive in the third quarter with an Andy Chase interception. The Hawks took advantage of the turnover with an Eric Hall run for 82 yards and another TCPS TD with Hall again adding the extra two points. Hall and Reynolds both ended the night with more than 100 yards rushing.

The Bucs fought back to close within three points, but the Hawks slammed the door with a solid defensive stand stopping Boyd on the TCPS 6-yard line with 12 seconds left in the game.
