School counselor Laura Murray encouraged students to commit to high school graduation and then begin looking at the options of college, career or the military. Information about local colleges was made available and drawings were held for T-shirts, Frisbexes and cups. Supporting schools included: Cleveland State, Lee University, UTC, UTK, Tennessee Wesleyan, Bryan College and Chattanooga State. Guidance classes ended with fifth-grade students signing their name to a pledge to be part of the high school graduating class of 2018.
