Congratulations to Laurel Allen, a senior for the Walker Valley softball team, for being named Charter's Player of the Week. Allen had seven hits with her first-ever grand slam i leading the Lady Mustangs to a top-four finish in the Ooltewah Softball Classic. Walker Valley lost only to eventual tournament champion Ooltewah, 4-2. Allen also had five singles and six RBIs, scored six runs and stole three bases.
