She was the daughter of the late Pearl O’Daniel Forgey and John Forgey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe V. Goins; her brothers: Burkett Allen Forgey, Floyd Austin Forgey, Edward “Ed” Manson Forgey and J.D. “Jimmy” Forgey; and her sisters: Sandra Forgey, Florence Forgey and Elise Forgey.
She worked at Jackson Manufacturing for 25 years and Cooke Manufacturing for 25 years. She was loved by everyone who met her; she enjoyed flea markets, gardening and life. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her sons, Jim J. Goins and his wife, Jewel, Bobby Goins, Jerry A. Goins and his wife, Judy, all of Cleveland; her daughter, Linda Bledsoe and her husband, Bobby, of Cleveland; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Gerald Fowler and Roger Step officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with grandchildren serving as pallbearers.
