She was a longtime resident of Bradley County. She was co-owner of Harvey’s Grocery for 20 years. She was a member of Four Point Baptist Church.
She was faithful to her church and served as Sunday School Teacher and visitation worker. She was very active in the Senior Citizens Group.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Nell Climer Ratcfliff; brothers: Charles, Glenn, Harold, Cecil and Willard Ratcliff; sisters: Emma Jean Ratcliff and Helena Ratcliff Gibson; husband, Joseph Clarence “Bud” Harvey; daughter, Helena Harvey Sartin; great-granddaughter, Sophie Lynn Ethridge; and second husband, Reverend Leeman Elliott.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Bruce Ritchey of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Vicki Harvey of Delano; brothers: J.D. Ratcliff of Dahlonega, Ga., and Fred Ratcliff of Warner Robbins, Ga.; grandchildren: Ginger Starnes, Melissa Lewis and husband, Bob, Rachel Ethridge and husband, Eric, Damon Sartin, Jonathan Sartin and wife, Renee, Jody Harvey and Scot Harvey and wife, Stephanie; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Cheatham officiating.
Interment will follow in Michigan Avenue Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight.
