Flora Ann McDaniel, 87, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 18, 2010, at the family residence.

She loved going to church because it was her life. She taught Sunday school for many years and she was a member of the Southview Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Lela Marilyn Mitchell Mooneyham and Thomas Lee Mooneyham. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Taylor McDaniel; her son, Rufus Lee McDaniel; her daughter-in-law, Marsha McDaniel; her son-in-law, John Alvin Ross Sr.; her sister, Elsie Smith; and her brothers: Theo and Freemon Mooneyham .

Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Ross of Cleveland; her sons: Edwin McDaniel and Roy McDaniel and his wife, Linda “Lyn” McDaniel, all of Cleveland; her four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her brothers: Chester Mooneyham of Whitwell and Newman Mooneyham of Fort Myers, Fla.; her special friend, Mary Wallace of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life service will be conducted today, Nov. 21, 2010, at 2 p.m. from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Steve Davis officiating.

Interment will follow in the McDonald-Snow Hill Cemetery with Eddie McDaniel, Michael McDaniel, Tony McDaniel, John Ross Jr., Don Pell and Bret Pell serving as pallbearers.
