William “Bill” Hill, 63, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday evening at the family residence.

He was an U.S. Army veteran and he worked most of his life in auto parts, serving 25 years at Dealers Auto Parts and 10 years at Mullinax Lincoln Mercury before he retired.

He enjoyed the old Rock and Roll songs especially the “Do Wop” songs. He enjoyed using the computer, working and playing with electronics.

He attended the Elkmont Baptist Church where his brother-in-law, the Rev. Johnny Hood pastors.

He was the son of the late Stella and Avra Hill. He was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Paula Arms; and his brothers: Joseph and Adrian Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Hood Hill of Cleveland; his sons: Scott Arms of Cleveland and Kevin Hill and his wife, Janet of Madisonville; his grandaughters: Chey Arms of Cleveland and Emily Ramsey of Madisonville; his sisters: Coleen Day and her husband, Ernest of Cleveland, Amaryllis Perkins and her husband, Junior of Washington Court House, Ohio, Christine Shugars of Albuquerque, N. M., Margaret Farris of Cleveland and Catherine Hall of Tallahassee, Fla.; his brother, Donald Hill and his wife, Kathy of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life graveside service and interment will be conducted today, Nov. 21, 2010, at 3 p.m. from the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Johnny Hood officiating. His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
