To The Editor:

I would like to address Mike Atchley’s letter to the Banner dated July 19.

First is his comment on “fake news.” It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize what the news media has tried to do to President Trump.

I’m tired of hearing about Russia. Our president can’t seem to “get on” with pressing issues our nation is facing for the Democrats screaming about Russia! What your party has done to harm America is far greater than anything the Republicans have done.

I am amazed that a so-called Bible-believing, God-fearing man or woman could be a Democrat because of what the party stands for: Abortion, gay rights, etc. Anyone reading God’s word knows this is against what God teaches.

Let’s leave Trump and his family alone and see what God can do through him. If Mr. Atchley knows anything about God he will remember these words found in Daniel 2:21, “And He (God) changeth the times and the seasons; He removeth kings (presidents); and setteth up kings (presidents). He giveth wisdom to the wise and knowledge to them that know understanding.”

Also Mr. Atchley, if you are a Christian you are commanded to pray for kings (presidents) and for all that are in authority; that they may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all Godliness and honesty (I Timothy 2:2).

If we as Christians would do what God tells us to do instead of complaining, I believe America would truly be great again.
