William Suits

William Lourie “Bill” Suits, 81, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018.

He was born on July 7, 1937, to the late Homer Edward and Mary Ruth Suits.

"Bill" Suits was a servant of Jesus Christ and his love of God and faith in Him were evident in all he said and did.  He was a lifelong resident of this area and a Veteran of the United States Air Force.  Bill was an avid reader, and he loved to sing and play music, especially at his church, Mountain View Church of God, where he was a member for nearly 30 years.  Bill also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and his “grand dogs.”  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Odell Suits; and two sisters: Lorena Bess and Louise Whaley.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Brian Suits (Kelli); daughter, Cynthia Jones (Lonnie); grandchildren: Cason Suits (Abbie) and Logan Feliciano (Alexander); brother, Ed Suits Sr. (Dorothy); sisters, Wanda Woodham, Sammie Stevens (Leroy) and Peggy Simms (Rick); numerous nieces and nephews, who he cherished; and extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Mountain View Church of God, located at 210 Roadway Drive .SE., Cleveland, TN 37323.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the church at 2 p.m.

Interment will follow the service at Tasso United Methodist Cemetery.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Bill, or your condolences with his family, at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com
