Wanda Fay Thomason, 60, a lifelong resident of Polk County, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at her home.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who especially loved her grandchildren. She was a lifetime member of Zion Baptist Church. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, L.B. “Gobe” Bridges.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Edwin E. “Lige” Thomason; children: Julie (Hank) Hicks and Lucas (Brittany) Thomason; grandchildren: Jacob, Sarah, Abigail, and James Headrick, as well as Baby Thomason who is on the way; mother, Ethelene Rogers Bridges; sister, Judy (John) Thomason; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, 5 to 8 p.m., at Zion Baptist Church.
The Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2019, with the interment following in the church cemetery.
