Violet Coward

Violet Iris Coward, 94, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, in a local health care facility.

She was born in Pressman’s Home Tennessee to the late Will and Bobby Trent. She was the oldest of six children.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Glenn S. Coward; her daughter, Janet Lynn Coward; one brother, William Guy Trent of Rogersville; and her sister, Pat Russell of Charlotte N.C.

She lived a long and full life and will be missed by her family and all that knew her.

She is survived by her son, Russell Coward and his wife, Golda; grandson, David Russell Coward; her great-grandsons: Ethan and Carter Coward; her brothers: Doyle Trent and his wife, Cora, of Kingsport,  and her youngest brother, Larry J. Trent and his wife, Carol, of Rogersville; her sister, Mary Ruth Ferrell and her husband, Waymon, of Kingsport; along with several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held graveside with a small private family ceremony at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating.

The family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers to North Cleveland Baptist Church in Violet's honor.

Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, North Ocoee Street Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
