Troye Lee Moore Linginfelter, 96, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Fairpark Nursing Home in Maryville.

She was a graduate of Polk County High School and Maryville College, and a longtime teacher in both Alcoa City and Polk County school systems.  She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Alcoa. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Linginfelter; parents, Walter and Willie Faye Moore; and brother, Glenn Moore. 

She is survived by her son, Steve Linginfelter, and wife Brenda; grandsons, Bryan and fiance' Geana. Scott and wife, Christa, and Will and wife, Melanie; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. 

The funeral  will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, with the Rev. Kinzel Hooker officiating.

Interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, in Clarks Grove Cemetery, Maryville.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the service.
