Today, the Tween Movie Matinee is showing the film, “Kubo and the Two Strings.” All ages are welcome to view this showing at 1:30 p.m. in the community room.

Today’s Tween Movie Matinee is ‘Kubo and the Two Strings’

Today, the Tween Movie Matinee is showing the film, “Kubo and the Two Strings.” All ages are welcome to view this showing at 1:30 p.m. in the community room.

The Friends of the Library Association is holding its Silent Book Auction now, running through March 29. Rare and antique items will be available for bid. A copy of “The Tennessean and His Government,” by Hilton Butler is available to bid on.

Monday at 4:30 p.m., the teens gather for gaming in the Teen Zone. They have board and card games as well as Wii and Xbox gaming. Feel free to bring a multi-player E-Rated game to share. For more information email teenzone@clevelandlibrary.org.

Tuesday night, the Library Book Club is meeting to discuss, “Half Broke Horses” by Jeannette Wells. Join them at 6:30 p.m. in the Carmichael Room for a lively book discussion. All are welcome.

Thursday at 4:30 p.m., the tween and teen writing clubs will meet to write their own works of art. Scribblers for tweens meets in the Children’s Room and is for ages 9-12 and the teen Scribblers meets in the Teen Zone.

Both of these groups work through creative writing prompts and participants are encouraged to share their writing projects.

The Crossover Book Club is meeting this Friday at 7 p.m. to discuss the Young Adult hit “The Monstrumologist” by Rick Yancey. Join them for heavy hors d’oeuvres and book games for a night of hands-on learning fun.

Come experience science in every-day life with the informal STEM program* hosted on the last Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m., January through April.

Next Monday, we will explore the theme of survival by discussing what humans are willing to do in order to survive. We will have DIY survival kits for participants to make.

Teen Zone After Hours is Saturday at 7 p.m. Join them this month as they enjoy the movie “Paper Towns” based off the YA hit by John Green. This event is for ages 13 to 17 and happens once a month in the Community Room.

Don’t forget the library offers free Zumba classes every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday morning at 8 a.m.
