Thomas Hugh Burgess, 70, of Cleveland passed away on Feb. 1, 2019. He was born on April 5, 1948 in Lavonia, Ga.
He has lived in Cleveland for the past four years and was the vice president of finance with Fairway Advertising.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and work in the garden. Additionally, he was a very gifted woodworker. He was also a Georgia Bulldogs fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Burgess.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 50 years, Pat Burgess; mother, Virginia Burgess; daughte, Melissa Werley; sister, Jennifer Burgess of Jacksonville, Fla.; and grandchildren: Elijah Werley and Ava Werley.
The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 3, 2019, at Companion Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow visitation at 12 p.m. at Lee Cemetery.
