From late May to the end of July, the Museum Center offers a multitude of day camps for students. They offer a variety of unique opportunities to engage students in multiple disciplines that will spark their own creativity and talent. • Summer Story Time

Wednesday, June 5, 10-11:30 a.m.

Week 1 of Summer Story Time kicks off in a big way with a Star Wars themed event, featuring: Kylo Ren, full -e for photos after the reading of the Little Golden Book "The Force Awakens". Stop by the registration booth to receive a Star Wars coloring page for your child, store coupons for you and a chance to win one of five great door prizes. Registration begins at 10 a.m. You will not want to miss this opportunity to let your children experience the enjoyment of exciting Story Time with live characters. This is a free event, located in the stage area near Dunham's Sports. Must be present to win all prizes.

Learn just what it takes to make a short production show from in front of the camera, as well as behind it. At the end of the week, students will premier their production, and leave camp with the knowledge required to create a professional-looking show, a copy of their creation, and some new friends.

• History Happy Hour—1944

Thursday, June 6, 6-8 p.m.

Enjoy this World War  II themed History Happy Hour in conjunction with the DAR marking the 75th anniversary of D-Day. In addition, feature entertainment will be provided by the Sounds of Tennessee. A great beer selection will be available by  sponsors, Mash & Hops and Dry Valley Brewing. Additionally, delicious food will be served at the event by Impressions Catering.

• Family Feud Live Celebrity Edition

Tuesday, June 11, 7:30 p.m.

Join these fun celebrity team captains as they randomly select audience members to become a member of their on-stage “family.” You can also win prizes right from your  seat in the audience. Based on the wildly popular TV game show, it's sure to bring load of laughs, fun and prizes. Celebrity Edition will be hosted by Alonzo Bodden of Last Comic Standing, featuring "Grocery Store" Joe Amabile of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ and two-time Olympic Gymnast Cathy Rigby McCoy. • Derek Hough: Live! The Tour

Since September 2007, Hough has become known for his work on the ABC dance-competition series, "Dancing with the Stars", on which he has won a record six seasons. With a total of nine nominations, he has won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography for several routines that he choreographed for the show. Hough has also starred in various stage productions, including the 2006 original production of Footloose: The Musical at the Novello Theatre in London’s West End, as well as the 2015 New York Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. In 2013, he starred in Make Your Move, a Romeo and Juliet-inspired South Korean-American independent dance film. As of 2014, he has held a recurring acting role on ABC’s musical-drama, Nashville.
