Music at the Mill will feature a fusion of Metal, Punk and Indie Rock at MunkFest—their biggest event yet, featuring bands from Birmingham and Huntsville, Ala., Cleveland, Chattanooga and Northwest, Ga.

The line-up includes: Keeping Composure, Moth Face, The Levitical Task, The Mercy Chapter, Guitar Fight From Fooly Cooly, Amune and Inclination of Direction.This is an all-ages show. Feel free to bring your own chair and cooler.

• Basic Landscape Class

Saturday, July 13, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

In this class, students will learn basic acrylic landscape techniques. All supplies are included in the cost of the class. Toneeke is a published and national award-winning artist that has been creating for over 45 years. Join her and joyfully create your own masterpiece. Cost for the class is $20 for members of the museum or $35 for non-members.

• Ugly Dog Contest

Saturday, July 13, 10 a.m.

Beaty Hardware is hosting an Ugly Dog Contest on Saturday, July 13, at 10 a.m. Owners of a “uniquely endearing” pup are encouraged to enter. Prizes are donated from Tucker Milling. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, on a leash and the owners are responsible for their pets. The show will take place in the back parking lot under the trees. • Summer Story Time

Wednesday, July 10, 10 a.m.

Week 5 of Summer Story Time at Bradley Square Mall features Spider-Man, presented by Pope’s Martial Arts Academy. The character will be available for photos after the reading of the Little Golden Book “The Amazing Spider-Man.” Stop by the registration booth to receive a Mary Poppins coloring page for your child, store coupons for you and a chance to win one of five great door prizes. Registration begins at 10 a.m. You will not want to miss this opportunity to let your children experience the enjoyment of exciting Story Time with live characters. This is a free event, located in the stage area near Dunham's Sports. Must be present to win all prizes.

• Family Adventure Course in Blue Ridge

Sunday, July 14, 10 a.m.

Who said playing in the mud was just for kids? Not these guys. They have created a fun Family Adventure Course for you, your family or friends to enjoy. You will be able to run, play and get messy. The course involves 13 obstacles, puzzles and lots of MUD. Whether you want to compete with other families, or just want to let loose and get messy, this is the course for you. This is a great team building exercise for families, friends or any group looking to have some outdoor fun together. 

What To Bring: athletic shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, water, a change of clothes and a towel an outdoor shower will be available for you at the end of the course. Admission is $19.95 per person, Children 6 and under get in free (with adult admission.) Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. *Waiver Must Be Signed By Each Participant*

 Q&AQ: How long does it take to finish the course? A: 25-30 minutes Q: How difficult is the course? Can children do it? A: We have built the course to be challenging, fun, and messy. Children can complete the course with assistance. Q: Can I reserve the course for large groups? A: Yes. You can book your spot online. Q: Will the Adventure Course continue if it rains? A: Light rain just makes it more fun, but if there are torrential rain and lightning then they would have to close it for safety.
