The Cleveland location of SouthEast Bank is moving to the corner of Keith Street and Raider Drive to better serve customers with a larger building, bank officials have confirmed.

DeWayne Morrow, the city bank’s president, said the company had been seriously looking for another location for about a year.

“We have just outgrown this location,” Morrow said. “It has been a good location for us, both for employees and customers. We have filled every office that we can fill.”

The new location will double the office space and include a conference room, which is a feature Morrow said is greatly needed.

January is the target for opening of the new location.

SouthEast Bank has been at its current Keith Street location since 2007.

Morrow said the new building will “allow us to add additional staff as we continue to grow, and also add additional services” in the future.

The bank was hoping to find a suitable location farther north on Keith Street.

Morrow said the Keith Street/Raider Drive location is good for the bank, because of the “volume of traffic that goes through there, and the convenience for customers.”

The bank will be located at the former Casa Nachos/Shoney’s location. Access to the site will remain the same.

Morrow said the new location will have multiple lanes of drive-up window service at the back. A drive-up ATM will be accessible on the side of building.

The expanded location will also provide more workspace for tellers.

“It shows the growth of the bank in the community. It is going to give the customers a new place that they should take pride in as much as the employees do, because they are what has made us successful,” Morrow said.

SouthEast Bank’s new location will feature a similar architectural design to the Knoxville office.

As growth continues, there is the potential for additional branches of the bank in Bradley County, Morrow said.

He said the bank leases it current location, and he is not sure what may be located there in the future.
