Dr. Meredith Harrison Sellers and Dr. Michael Warren Pelster, both of Chicago, will be married on May 6 at St. James Cathedral in Chicago, Illinois, where the couple are both members.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benton Alan Sellers of Cleveland. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Austin Maples and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sellers.

The future bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Donald Richard Pelster of Brentwood. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Buford Higgs and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Pelster.

Dr. Sellers is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School, Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She is a chief resident in internal medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where she is pursuing a master of science degree in clinical investigation. In July, she will begin working as an internist at the St. Louis VA Medical Center, prior to applying for a fellowship in hematology/oncology.

Dr. Pelster is a graduate of Brentwood Academy, Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He is a chief resident in dermatology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. In July, he will begin a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at St. Louis University in St. Louis.

A reception and dinner will follow the ceremony at Joe’s Chicago, the sister restaurant of Joe’s Stone Crab in Miami, a place which holds a special memory for the couple.

The couple plans a short wedding trip to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, with a longer wedding trip later in the year. They will move to St. Louis in July.
