He was a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church for more than 60 years, where he served as a deacon for many years. He was a partner in B&B Supply, B&B Food Center and later in BC Sales Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Heifner Boring; parents, Joseph A. and Mildred Kirkpatrick Boring; brothers: Elmer Boring and Joseph W. Boring; and sister, Willie Mae Whiteside.
Survivors include his children: Thomas L. Boring and wife, Linda, and Elaine Curtis and husband, Terry, all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Brad Boring, Jamie Curtis, and Dustin Curtis, all of Cleveland; great-grandchild, Nazareth Curtis, of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating.
Interment will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
His family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
