Rodgers Basket Fund reaches $3,300 total

The William Hall Rodgers Basket Fund has reached a total of $3,300. Donations given this week added $2,050 to the previous total.

Making donations were $500 in memory of Cathy Harris Foddrill and Deborah Kress McCray; $50, Hannah Robb; $250, James and Diane Williams; $50, David and Virginia Rollins in memory of Lacey Allen; $1,000 David and Ellen Smith; $100, Cleveland Reporting Co.; and $100, Patricia Rusk.

Rodgers Basket Fund reaches $3,300 total

The William Hall Rodgers Basket Fund has reached a total of $3,300. Donations given this week added $2,050 to the previous total.
Making donations were $500 in memory of Cathy Harris Foddrill and Deborah Kress McCray; $50, Hannah Robb; $250, James and Diane Williams; $50, David and Virginia Rollins in memory of Lacey Allen; $1,000 David and Ellen Smith; $100, Cleveland Reporting Co.; and $100, Patricia Rusk.

All donations to the Basket Fund are used to fill the boxes with staple foods that will help make the holidays happier for needy families in the community. Some 611 boxes of food are expected to be given out on Dec. 15.

The Basket Fund is financed completely by donations from individuals in the community.

The United Way of Ocoee Region has taken over the coordination of the application, packing and distribution process. 
Donations may be given at Cooke’s Food Store or at First Tennessee Bank, P.O. Box 4880, Cleveland TN 37320-4880 or dropped off at First Tennessee Bank, 3870 Keith St.

Donations may also be dropped off at the United Way office in downtown Cleveland.
