Robert Gene “Bob” Lee, 89, passed away in a Knoxville, hospital on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, from complications of Covid-19.
He was a long-time resident of Cleveland, and was of Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Phyllis Maxine Lee; mother and father: Lester M. and Ella Sue Lee; and brother, Randall Lee.
He is survived by two children: David Lee (Jean) of Pella, Iowa, and Jeanne Bowers (David) of Knoxville; a brother, Neil Lee (Pat) of Cleveland; four grandchildren: Jennifer Salvoch (Manny) of Centennial, Colo., Aleshia Reed (Jacob) of Knoxville, Patrick Lee (Rachel) of Murfreesboro, and Drew Silcox (Allison) of Washburn; four great-grandchildren with a fifth due in May.
After graduating from high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War.
After leaving the military, he retired from TVA after many years of service. He loved gardening, UT football and working crossword puzzles.
