Ralph J."RJ" Martin, 84, a resident of Cleveland, and a former resident of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 at the family residence.
He was of the Presbyterian faith. He was retired from the Tennessee Gas-Eastern Division after many years of service. He was a member of the Natural Gas Memorial of Houston. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George R. Martin and Dorothy Rhodes Martin; his daughter, Katherine R. Martin; two sisters, Susan Ferguson and Holly; and also a brother, Robert Martin.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Martin of Cleveland; three children: Jennifer Martin and Keith Martin, both of Houston, Texas, and Candace Davis of Austin, Texas; three stepchildren: Susan Coleman (Todd), of Smyrna, Katherine Stewart (Don) of Winchester, Ky., and John Blackburn (Amy) of Frankfort; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
