Politicians get some bad marks

To The Editor:

Here I am ... again.

If I didn't read the Cleveland Daily Banner  and listen to the news on TV, I wouldn't write.

I say this: Kick out everyone in Washington, D.C., who's supposed to be running our country.

I vote every year, and I have voted for many years. Those who vote get fooled every election. We want to believe in the people we vote for. These politicians promise everything they can to get elected.

I don't like the two-party system. Each group points fingers at the other side, and blames them for any decisions. They won't work together to make our country better.

We need prayer by everyone ... for our country, and especially for our so-called leaders.

We vote them in because we want to believe in them. Well, they are NOT doing their jobs. [When our government shut down] this last time, they are the reasons it happened. How many times have we seen this, or almost seen this? Too often!

They give themselves raises most every year. Huge raises! And for what ... a job well done? No way!

In closing, I'd like to say the symbol for the Republicans is an elephant. The symbol for the Democrats is a donkey. This needs to change, too.

Hey, elephants and donkeys are good animals. They're smart, too! Plus, it seems like they behave a lot better than politicians!

Think about it.

And, there's this: Elephants and donkeys care for their herds. That's a lot more than I can say for those politicians up in Washington, D.C., who are supposed to be doing the same for their country!
