Roger Pickett, president and CEO of MurMaid Mattress Inc., has joined the East Region Advisory Board for Southern Heritage Bank.

Lee Stewart, East Region president, made the announcement saying, “We are very excited to have Roger join our advisory board. With his extensive business knowledge, he will be a real asset.”

Pickett has been involved in home furnishings retail sales and management since graduating from the University of Tennessee. Since joining the family business in 1989, Roger and his wife, Cindy, have guided MurMaid from a single location factory and showroom on Lee Highway to a 13-store local chain of factory direct mattress stores.

He currently serves on the advisory council for United Way’s Center for Social Impact and is on Cleveland Associated Industries Executive Committee. Pickett is a past advisory board member of People for Care and Learning.
