Peggy Henderson

Peggy Roberts Henderson, 83, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at the family residence. 

She was the daughter of the late Ruth Thames Roberts and the Rev. Bennie Lamar "B.L." Roberts. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Diane Henderson; her son, Richard Van Henderson; her sister, Helen Long; and her brothers: Ben Roberts and Gerrell Roberts. 

She was a nurse for many years. She would sit with and take care of senior adults. She wrote many devotionals to her family and friends, and she was known as a prayer warrior and an encourager. Peggy was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God.

Survivors include her sons: Daniel Henderson and his  wife, Joanne, of Temple, Ga., and Roberts Henderson and his wife, Patty, of Houston, Texas; her eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Carol Carroll and her husband, Jimmy; her brother, Julius Roberts and his wife, Kat, all of Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life memorial service will be held private for the family.

The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by going to stjude.org

The Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, North Ocoee Chapel, has charge of the arrangements.
