Oscar Wayne King, 81, of Charleston, passed away to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 13, 2017, after a long illness.

He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed and forever remembered by all who knew him. He was retired from Wheelers Building Materials.

He was a member of Redemption Point Church of God and attended North Cleveland Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Grace Ball, Mona Donohew. Mabel Bush, Samuel King, Blaine King and James King.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Alberta King of Charleston; children: Debbie Williams of Charleston, Crystal Garrett and husband, John, of West Virginia, and Tim King of Cleveland; four grandchildren: Jackie Williams of Charleston, Miranda Saunders of Evans, W.Va., Amanda Garrett of Fairplain, W.Va., and Alex King of Cleveland; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Garrett of Fairplain; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
