CHATTANOOGA (AP) -- Max Murphy was a home run short of the cycle, driving home two runs as the Chattanooga Lookouts beat the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 9-3 on Friday.

Jonathan Rodriguez doubled and singled twice with two runs for Chattanooga.

Trailing 2-0, the Lookouts tied it up in the second inning when T.J. White hit a two-run home run.

The Lookouts later added runs in four additional innings to secure the victory.

Chattanooga right-hander Kohl Stewart (3-4) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing three runs on six hits over six innings. Opposing starter Trevor Richards (2-1) took the loss in the Southern League game after a rough outing in which he allowed five runs and 10 hits over four innings.

The Lookouts are now 59-33 overall on the season and have the best record in the Southern League.

Rodriguez is in the midst of a career season as the first baseman is batting .308 with an OPSā€ˆover .880.

Over his last 10 games he batting over .390. Rodriguez batted .357 in the month of June and is batting .398 in July.

The Lookouts top slugger has 11 home runs and 20 doubles on the season.

Chattanooga was leading 3-0 at press time Saturday, as Rodriguez was 2-for-3 with two runs batted in and a run scored.

The 27-year-old has 23 multi-hit games this season and looks to provide the Lookouts with a big bat as they make a run for their second Southern League Championship in the past three seasons.
