Mary Ellen Woods
Mary Ellen Woods, 75, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018.
She was born Sept. 18, 1942, to the late Blanche Woods and John Wilkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Nelson Artie Goldston; her brothers: Nathan Woods, Owen Woods, and James Woods; and her sister, Betty Jean (Robert) Mack.
She attended College High School and was a member of the 2nd Street Church of Christ. She retired from Honeywell “Bendix” after 25 years of service.
She appreciated the time spent with her daughters, with family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers; her favorite flower was the Yellow Angel Trumpet.
Survivors include her daughters: Rebecca and Tabitha Woods; grandson, Stephon Woods; four great-granddaughters: Maliyah, Layla, Leyasia Woods, and Kaylyn Millner; one great-grandson, Kysean Jackson; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives; special friends: Lucille Madisongill, Merle Johnson, Jean Whaley, and Ann Armstrong; and many other friends.
The funeral will be Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the 2nd Street Church of Christ, 752 Howard Circle S.E., Cleveland, with Brother Ronald Simmons delivering the eulogy.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from noon until 1 p.m. Interment will be at Fort Hill Cemetery.
Visitation by friends will be Friday, from 3:30 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
