Martha Crumbley


With sadden hearts, we announce that Martha Jane Freeman Crumbley, 73, a resident of Cleveland, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a great friend to all who knew her. She loved her family more than anything. Her motto: Family Forever Always.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jackie Crumbley; her daughter, Suzanne Crumbley; her parents, Ardella and Allie Parris; her twin sister, Norma Jean Freeman; her sister, Carolyn Plumley; and her brothers: Ronnie and Homer Freeman.

She is survived by her children: Lee (Brenda) Crumbley, Darlene Crumbley, Brian (Angie) Crumbley, and Angela (Daniel) Allen, all of Cleveland; her grandchildren:  Autumn Allen, who stayed by her side and took care of her every day, Dwayne Crumbley (Tori), Ryan Crumbley (Crystal), Michael Crumbley (Amanda), Dylan Crumbley, Erin Myers, and Chase Myers; along with several great-grandchildren; and her sisters: Elaine Wax (Don) of Riceville and Ruthene Rivers.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, North Ocoee Street Chapel, with the Rev. Terry Webb and the Rev. Travis Humbard officiating.

The interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, with family serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
