Lola Tanksley

Lola Tanksley, 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at her home.

She was born on Jan. 27, 1936, to the late Lewie and Mamie Parker.

Lola worked at American Uniform for many years before moving to Peyton’s, where she finished her career. She was a faithful member of Mount Olive Church of God. All that knew Lola knew she had a passion for taking care of others. She took every opportunity to help others in need, and would always show Jesus’ love through how she loved others.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jess Tanksley; and two brothers, Hoyt Parker and Doyle Parker. 

Lola leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving daughters, Debbie Tanksley and Rhonda Falke (Paul); grandson, Eric Falke; great-grandsons, Heath and Landon Falke; siblings, Billy D. Parker and Brenda Wilson (Jack); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. 

A Celebration of Life service is planned for 7 p.m. today, Jan. 30, 2018, at Mount Olive Church of God, located at 3522 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN 37311, with Pastor Gary Sears and Mr. Charles White officiating. 

The family will receive friends three hours prior, from 4 until the 7 p.m. service time. 

Ms. Lola will be laid to rest on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Mount Olive Cemetery.
