Lee University baseball will host two Summer Prospect Camps June 18-19 at Olympic Field. The price for the camps is $150 to workout at one position and $185 to work at two positions. The camp will be limited to 75 athletes in a session. Session one is June 18 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Registration will be at 8 a.m. Session two will be June 19 from 9 a.m. -4 p.m., also with registration at 8 a.m. Sessions are identical and prospects should only sign up for one session. Instructors at the camps include coaches from the University of Tennessee, Auburn University, Middle Tennessee State University, Kennesaw State University and Lee University. Cleveland State baseball coach Mike Policastro will conduct three summer baseball camps.  The Youth Skills Camp will be June 3-6 for ages 5-14.  Camp hours will be 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  Campers will participate in group instruction and participate in a game each day.  The cost of the camp is $80 and includes a camp T-shirt. The Youth Pitcher/Catcher Camp will be held June 10-12 from 9-11:30 a.m. A Youth Hitting Camp will take place June 17-19 from 9-11:30 a.m.  Both camps will be for ages 8‑16.  The camps will consist of advanced instruction on the fundamentals of pitching, catching and hitting.  The cost is $60 per session, and includes a camp T-shirt. There is a $5 discount per camp registration if a participant registers for more than one of the camps. Cleveland state baseball will host its annual Baseball Classic Summer Tournaments in June. The 16-under tournament will be June 1, 2. The 18-under tournament  be on June 7-9. The 15 -under tournament will be June 15, 16. The 14-under and 13-under tournament will be June 22-23. The 16-under, 15-under and 14/13-under tournaments will all have three games of pool play and  a championship. The 18-under tournament will have four games of tournament play and a championship.



The 2019 state champion Bradley Central Bearettes will host their annual basketball camp May 29-31 at Jim Smiddy Arena. Open to ages 5-14, the daily sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. until noon. Head coach Jason Reuter and his staff and players will instruct in basic game fundamentals. The cost of the camp is $55 for all three days or $45 for just two days. Registration will be held before the first day of the camp.



Registration is now open for the 3rd annual LETS Camp, which will once again be held at Jim Smiddy Arena will be held July 16-19. The four-day event sponsored by former Bradley standouts siblings Alvin, Terry, Levi and Gloria (Deathridge) Scott, not only provides free basketball, but also life advice for area youngsters. The “Life Education Through Sports” event is open to boys and girls ages 8-15. Those wishing to participate can register at www.letscamp.com. The Bubba Smith Skills and Drills Camp will run June 10-13. The camp is recommended for boys ages 6-16 and will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Campers may register online at leeflamesbasketballcamps.com or by printing and filling out a brochure on the link.


The third annual Lee Men’s Team Camp will run from June 13-15 and will feature teams that made appearances in the Tennessee and Georgia state basketball tournaments. There will be middle school, high school junior varsity, and high school JV for various levels of competition. The camp will offer flexible scheduling, affordable fees, and the opportunity to be evaluated by multiple college coaches. FLAMES ELITE CAMPThe Lee University Flames will host Elite Camp Aug. 10, 11. Elite Camp is a one-day session limited to the first 60 registrants with two sessions available. Top prospects from the region will be in attendance to be evaluated by our coaching staff. Elite Camp is offered to young men who are rising sophomores to rising seniors. Cleveland state basketball coach Lee Cigliano, coach of the 2019 TCCAA and NJCAA Region 7 champions will conduct a youth camp June 10-13 for ages 6-15. The camp will run from 9 a.m.-noon. Campers will participate in group instruction and games.  The cost for the camp is $75. and  includes a camp T-Shirt. The Cleveland Civitan Club will host the  45th annual Joe Rodgers Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament at Chatata Valley Golf Club Saturday, June 15. Proceeds go toward continuing to serve the special needs communities of Bradley and Polk Counties for events such as Cleveland Special Olympics, the Civitan Dance and the Inclusive Playground. The cost for a foursome team is $300. Lunch will be served at 12:30. Closest to the pin and hole-in-one prizes will be awarded on selected holes. There will also be drawings for door prizes. FREE TENNIS CLINICSThe 2019 Kay McDaniel Tennis Clinics will take place June 3-7 at Lee University. The clinics, for boys and girls ages 6-13 of any skill level, are free of charge. The girls clinics will go from 8-10 a.m., and the boys clinics will run from 10:30 a.m.-12 noon. Quick registration is recommended as the first 350 entries have already been accepted.
