Google and Gmail


This class focuses on how to use Google and Gmail. It is the second of four classes that meet on Mondays from 9  to 11  a.m. throughout the month of June. Class will be held in the Training Room.

Summer Reading Ages 6-12


Find out why "Libraries ROCK" with fun activities, crafts, and stories. Choose a weekly time that's best for you. Please sign up on our website, www.clevelandlibrary.org  and click on the "Summer Reading 2018" tab. Meets Monday from 2-3 p.m. in the Community room and again from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Teen Zone Gaming


Join us for drop-in Wii and X-Box gaming in the Teen Zone! Ages 13-17. We'll have Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Just Dance, and more! You may bring an E-rated multiplayer game to share. Email teenzone@clevelandlibrary,org for more information.Meets every Monday 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Google Docs


This class will teach participants how to use Google Docs. It is the second of four classes that meet on Tuesdays from 9  to 11  a.m. throughout the month of May. Classes will be held in the Training Room.

Preschool Story Time


Lively story time for ages 3 to 5 years, with crafts, music and stories. Meets Tuesday from 10:30 to 11  a.m. in the Community Room.

Adult Summer Movie Matinee - "Les Miserables" 


Directed by Tom Hooper. With Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried. In 19th-century France, Jean Valjean, who for decades has been hunted by the ruthless policeman Javert after breaking parole, agrees to care for a factory worker's daughter. The decision changes their lives forever. Based on the novel by Victor Hugo. Showing is Tuesday from 2:30 to 5  p.m. in the Community Room.

Storytelling Guild


Come to the Cleveland Storytelling Guild meeting and hear wonderful storytelling ... even practice telling your own tales! Meets Tuesday in the Community Room from 7  to 8:30 p.m.


Google Sheets


This class teaches how to use Google Sheets. It is the second of four classes that meet on Wednesdays from 9  to 11  a.m. throughout the month of May. Meets in the Training Room.

Free Lunch Wednesdays


Free lunch for all under 18 years of age. Meets in the Community Room from 1  to 2:30 p.m Wednesdays, through July 25.

Summer Movie Matinee & Gaming


"Rock Dog" - Rated PG  | 90 minutes, followed by video and board games for the family. Meets Wednesday in the Community Room from 2  to 5:30 p.m.

Baby Bookworms


Story time for ages birth to 3 years old – stories, music & fun activities! Meets Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon and again at 1  to  2  p.m. in the Community Room.

Teen Summer Reading


Summer Reading 2018: Libraries Rock! This week we'll experiment with technology and sound using Chrome Music Lab. This program will be held in the Teen Zone from 4:30 at 5:30 p.m. Ages 13-17 only. Questions? Email teenzone@clevelandlibrary.org.

Library Musical


If you are a good reader, good singer or good at playing an instrument, join us for the library's first musical for children. It's all about having fun. Meet us this Thursday in the Community Room from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. for rehearsal. Our performance for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 26, at 7pm. Dress rehearsal will be on the 25th of July. 

FOLA Books and Coffee


The Friends of the Library Association, FOLA, will host their Book and Coffee series in the History Branch Parlor Room at 10 a.m. Friday. Join your friends as you enjoy coffee and a book review. Bonnie Hathcock will review her inspirational book "Lilac Dreams: My Journey from a Sewer Drain to the Boardroom." It is not necessary to have read the book prior to coming to this event. The purpose of Book & Coffee is to pique your interest! This free event is open to the public and FOLA provides the coffee.

Mid-Day Build


All ages are welcome to a Lego building event Friday  at 12:15 p.m. in the Community Room. Come build with us!


Teen Summer Reading After Hours


Join us Friday from 7  to 9  p.m. for an After Hours showing of The Nightmare Before Christmas (PG). Ages 13-17 only. Email teenzone@clevelandlibrary.org with questions.

Multi-age Summer Reading Ages 4-12

The Book Nook


Don’t forget to stop by the Book Nook the next time you visit the library!  Friends of the Library operates and maintains the Nook, where you can find gently used fiction and nonfiction books at bargain prices.  The Book Nook is located near the General Fiction department on the first floor.

Collectible Books


Stop by the display of antique and collectible books on the main floor lobby the next time you visit the library. A book is provided for silent auction bids if you are interested in purchasing.
