Basics for Windows 10 will meet Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Training Room. Come learn about the latest version of Windows.
WiggleWorms is a baby program that targets children 2 years of age and under. Babies with their guardians will be listening to stories, rolling and bouncing, waddling and toddling to music, including classical and multicultural, all for the purpose of developing motor and social skills. The program will be held Monday from 3 to 4 p.m.in the Community Room.
Basics for Excel — Do spreadsheets send you into a cold sweat? Come to the Basics for Excel class Tuesday in the Training Room from 9 to 11 a.m. and conquer your fear!
Preschool Story Time meets Tuesday and Friday in the Kid’s Zone from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
Bilingual Story Time — Lively story time for ages 5 years and under, with crafts, music and stories in Spanish and in English. Meets Tuesday in the Community Room from 1to 1:45 p.m.
Storytelling Guild — Come to the Cleveland Storytelling Guild meeting and hear wonderful storytelling ... even practice telling your own tales! Meets Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Community Room.
Basics for Word class meets Wednesday from 9 to 11:00 am. in the Training Room.
Baby Bookworms meets on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. to noon and again at 1 to 2 p.m. in the Community Room. Story time for ages birth to 3 years old ... stories, music & fun activities!
Tween STEAM — Hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts, or math or a combination of several different components, for ages 6 to 12 years. Meets Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room.
Mid-Day Build: All ages are welcome to a Lego building event Friday at 12:15 p.m. in the Community Room. Come build with us!
Volunteer Income Tax
The VITA program offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. No appointment is needed-Drop in service. Please bring: Photo ID of taxpayer and spouse (if filing jointly). Bring Social Security cards for dependents. If possible, bring you 2016 tax filing. Meets Saturday in the Community Room from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Family Story Time — Join us Saturday from 2 to 2:30 p.m. stories for the whole family with crafts. Meets in the Children’s Department and the Community Room.
The Book Nook — Don’t forget to stop by the Book Nook the next time you visit the library! Friend of the Library operates and maintains the Nook, where you can find gently used fiction and non-fiction books at bargain prices. The Book Nook is located near the General Fiction department on the first floor.
Library Book Club — Open to all readers 18 and over. This club meets once a month to discuss a book. Although they normally meet the third Monday of every month, this month only they will meet on Tuesday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m. in the Carmichael Room. This month’s book for discussion is Small Great Things by Jodi Picault.TEAM
