Library Corner





WiggleWorms is a baby program that targets children 2 years of age and under. Babies with their guardians will be listening to stories, rolling and bouncing, waddling and toddling to music including classical and multicultural, all for the purpose of developing motor and social skills. The program will be held Monday from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Community Room.

Don’t forget the library offers free Zumba classes every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday morning at 8:10 a.m.


Teen Advisory Group meets Monday in the Teen Zone from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. We’ll be planning upcoming library events, crafts, and activities. For ages 13-17.


Toddler Tech

A technology petting zoo for ages 2 to 5, Osmo tablets, Dash and Dot robot, Codeapillar, literacy- driven Spell & Speak Sea Turtle, the Color Chameleon, and eWriters.  Meets Monday from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. in the Community Room.


Preschool Story Time meets Tuesday in the Kid’s Zone from 10:30 to 11:15  a.m.

Bilingual Story Time
Lively story time for ages 5 years and under, with crafts, music and stories in Spanish and in English.  Meets Tuesday in the Community Room from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m.


Baby Bookworms meets on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. to noon and again at 1 to 2 p.m. Story time for ages birth to 3 yrs ... stories, music & fun activities!



STEAM is this Thursday for teens and tweens from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room. Join them to explore in areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math every month.  The teens will be working on a top-secret challenge.  The tweens group is for ages 6-12.  For more information email


Mid-Day Build

All ages are welcome to a Lego building event Friday  at 12:15 p.m. in the Community Room.  Come build with us!


Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Preparation 
The VITA program offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. No appointment is needed for drop-in service. Please bring: Photo ID of taxpayer and spouse (if filing jointly). Bring Social Security cards for dependents. If possible, bring you 2016 tax filing.  Meets Saturday in the Community Room from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.


Family Story Time
Join us Saturday from 2
 to 2:30 p.m. stories for the whole family with crafts  Meets in the Children’s Department and the Community Room.


Upcoming Events
Mark your calendars now and plan to attend the Friends of the Library Bargain Book Sale.  The event will be held in the Community Room Friday, March 15, from 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Come support your local library and find some great deals in the bargain!
