We’ll be planning upcoming library events, crafts, and activities. For ages 13 to 17 meets Monday, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Teen Film Society
A bi-weekly movie viewing teens ages 13 to 17. This week, we will be watching "Madagascar 2" (PG).
Join us for a meme-movie on the first Tuesday, and an award-winning movie on the third Tuesday, all shown in the Teen Zone. Recommendations for movies will be taken at each month's Teen Advisory Group. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Meets Tuesday from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Baby Book Worms
Story time for ages birth to 3 years with stories, music and fun activities is Thursday, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and again from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Community Room.
Tween & Teen STEAM: Measuring It Out & Cooking It Up
This month at STEAM we will be cooking straight from our garden with herb potatoes and onions and a few hot dogs (not from the garden) on the side. This program is for ages 6 to 17 and will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

A free Lego building program for all ages every Friday at 12:15 p.m. in the Community Room.
Monthly Craft: Origami
This month, we'll be doing origami three ways upstairs in the Carmichael Room. Choose from the butterfly, lotus blossom, and crane, or try your hand at all three! White paper and shading pencils and markers provided. This program is for adults and will be from 2 to 4 p.m.
Family Story Time
Join us for fun stories for the whole family with craft activities, Saturdays from 2 to 3 p.m.

Back to School Frozen Treat Social
Meet friends and enjoy a tasty frozen treat to celebrate the new school year beginning! For preschoolers to 12th grade. From 2 to 3 p.m.
If you need to research a legal issue, our Law Library is located in the Reference Department on the second floor. We have a complete library of Tennessee State Statutes available for use. Check it out on your next visit!
Stop by the display of antique and collectible books on the main floor lobby the next time you visit the library. Books are provided for silent auction bids if you are interested in purchasing.
The Book Nook
Don’t forget to stop by the Book Nook the next time you visit the library! Friends of the Library (FOLA) operates and maintains the Nook, where you can find gently used fiction and nonfiction books at bargain prices.
Science Fiction, Mystery and Fantasy sections have all been recently added to the FOLA collection. Each month special sales are displayed on the table in the Book Nook area.
We are in need of a volunteer for the Children’s Department. Must love working with children, be able to climb, lift and carry, be computer literate, be willing to assist at special events that sometimes include weekends and be dependable. Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus but not required.
