Lana Sue Flory-Steward

Lana Sue Flory-Steward, 72, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at a Cleveland health care facility.

She was born on Feb. 4, 1945, in Kansas City,  a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Frances Flory.

She served in the U.S. Army and worked locally with the Cleveland City School system until her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald Flory and Trent Flory; and one sister, Valerie Flory.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 17 years, Kenneth H. Steward; three sons: Steve Solberg of Missouri, Brian Solberg of Oklahoma, and Jonathan Solberg of Wisconsin; two stepsons: Jason Steward of Arizona and Jeremy Steward of Colorado; one stepdaughter, Tina Steward of California; five grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; numerous other extended family members; and a host of special friends.
A memorial service celebrating her life is planned for Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road, with Pastor Guinn Green officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service time, in the funeral home parlor.

A private interment will take place in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
