Kester Calfee, 69, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at his residence.
He retired from Allied Bendix after 31 years of service and was a deputy for the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office for 11 years, until his retirement in 2016. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Tennessee Sheriffs Association. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Ethel Wade Calfee.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Judy Marr Calfee, of Cleveland; son, Mark Calfee and fiancée, Allison Young, both of Cleveland; sister, Karen Miller and husband, David, both of Cleveland; brother, John Calfee and wife, Merrilyl, of Cohutta, Ga.; special cousins: Dorothy Wade and her son, Dewayne, both of Hampton, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Davis and Sheriff Eric Watson officiating.
Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with the honor guard from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
His family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
