John Isaac Kelley, 74, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at a Chattanooga hospital.
He was retired from TVA after 26 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in Vietnam.
He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved to hunt and fish and he attended Mt. Olive Ministries.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Kelley; and uncle, John O. Kelley.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Kelley; sons: Brian Kelley (April), and Jeff Kelley (Kristy); grandchildren: Ashley Snyder (Alex), Thaxton Kelley, Nathaniel Kelley (Camryn), and Chandler Kelley; great-grandchildren: Malachi Snyder and Sadie Grace Kelley; twin brother, Joe Kelley; brother, Bobby Kelley; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at Earls Cemetery with Pastor Gary Sears and Pastor James Sears officiating.
Nathaniel Kelley, Chandler Kelley, Thaxton Kelley, Alex Snyder, Andy Turner, and Steve May will serve as pallbearers. The service will conclude with military honors and a white dove release ceremony.
