Joe Dewhurst, 36, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.

Joe was a carpenter/roofer by trade, but his true passion was to be a long-haul truck driver. He recently graduated trucking school and received his CDL license to fulfill his dream. He attended Cleveland Community Chapel. 

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Connie and Gary Conway; his father, Michael Dewhurst; his companion of 15 years, Debra King; his children: Alyssa Porter, Ethan Dewhurst, Hailey King, Gracie King and Emma King; a very special friend, Stephanie Hensley; his brother, Michael Dewhurst; his sisters: Michelle Rogers and her husband, Phil, and Kimberly Dewhurst; along with several nieces and nephews. 

The Remembrance of Life service will be conducted on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020, at 2 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel, with Pastor Adam Sutton officiating. 

Interment will follow in the McInturf Cemetery in Meigs County, with family and friends serving as casket bearers. 

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The funeral home will be following the state's COVID-19 guidelines, and asks all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please bring and wear a mask.
