Jimmy Lee Strickland, 42, a longtime resident of McDonald, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at his home.
He was a diesel mechanic all his life. He loved dirt track racing, where many people came to know him. He loved his family, especially his daughter. He never met a stranger and was a kind fun loving man. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Judy Strickland.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Kaity Strickland; sister, Missy (Tony Sr.) Delay; nephews and nieces: Brody Baliles, Abbey Delay, Paige Baliles and Tony Delay Jr.; as well as other extended family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home, Cleveland Chapel.
The Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 p.m., following the visitation.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Lee Cemetery in McDonald.
