James Carson

James “Jimmy” Carson, 81, a resident of McDonald, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, in a Chattanooga health care facility.

He was the son of the late Walter and Pearl Carson; and was also preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Carson; his brother, Jack Carson; and several cousins and friends.

He was a lifelong resident of McDonald and was well known for trading pocket knives and watches. He would walk around the McDonald community stopping anyone, and would ask if they wanted to trade or buy watches and knives.

He is survived by numerous cousins and friends who will miss him greatly.

A Remembrance of Life service was held Tuesday at 7 o’clock at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Tim Woody officiating.

The interment was held today, Jan. 31, 2018,  at 11 a.m. at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in McDonald with family and friends serving as casket bearers.
