The Cherokee Hiking Club will meet at 6 tonight for a potluck meeting at the home of Leon and Pat Bates, 265 Laurelwood Lane in Benton. There will be a slide presentation of a recent backpacking trip to Colorado’s Weminuche Wilderness. For directions, contact Bates at 256-710-5508.

The Cleveland Orchestra and Chorus of Tennessee will have chorus auditions for the 2018-19 season on Sept. 20, 7 to 9 p.m. at the George R. Johnson building, Room J105. Interested individuals should have one prepared song for the audition — an art song or hymn would be ideal. There will also be a short sight-reading portion to the audition. The Class of 1954 at Bradley Central High School will celebrate its 64th reunion on Oct. 6, 9 a.m. to noon, with a brunch at Cleveland Country Club, 345 Kyle Lane, Cleveland. There will be a meet and greet from 9 to 10 a.m. The cost is $15 per person, which includes tax and tip. Submit your payment to Betty Cartwright, 2164 State Highway 58 South, Georgetown TN 37336 no later than Sept. 30. Make check payable to BCHS Class of 1954. Dress will be casual.
