TRAFFIC WAS HALTED for several hours overnight following a single-vehicle accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75, near Charleston. The accident, which happened just north of Exit 33 at around 10 p.m. Thursday, involved a tractor-trailer, with the driver being identified as Anthony Wilson, 43, of Harrogate, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol reports. The truck was delivering for XPO Logistics out of Indiana, the THP said. Traffic was rerouted at the 36-mile marker (Calhoun exit), with most motorists traveling south on U.S. Highway 11 after being redirected. Some were stalled in traffic, however, and the two lanes of I-75 southbound traffic were blocked for several hours, into the early part of this morning. Work crews continued to remove the truck and debris from the scene today. One southbound lane was open before 8 a.m.
